
Holding onto an ancient craft, Shoe School, preserves the art of shoe making, which has been all but lost in America. "My family members were shoe makers, " says Zerobnick, '" who started shoe making at 15. "I started working with a friend who made sandals and after sandals and then I learned how to make lasted footwear. Zerobnick says he had a lot of on-the-job training but there were no other places to learn. So he started the Shoe School.
